***This is a 3 book series. It contains adult material, and pulls no punches***
When Mattice Ryan finds that her sizzling nightmares with the Devil are indeed real, she is forced to decide between insanity and sin, with the fate of the humanity balanced on the edge of her wounded soul.
The world has issues, and the final battle between Heaven and Hell has never had so much middle ground. If the last Daughter of Eve falls, the end will begin, and only those that are stranded in the middle are trying to stop it. Disillusioned angels and rebellious demons unprepared to lose their playground are forced to hang their hopes upon the forgotten, the broken and the unsavory.
Cat O'Nine's raw and dark tale of faith and vice, unlikely bedfellows, and desperate measures, is a tale of the most delicious way to feel tainted. This wicked Dark Fantasy will drag you straight to Hell... and make you love every minute. It is the Devil in the Details, after all, that will decide the nature of man and the fate of the earth.

I don't usually get into books about demons, angels and all that. Lots of them are a bit too cheesy for me. So while I liked the synopsis I admit that I was already a bit biased and wasn't expecting much when I started this book. Unfair, yes, but I read the book anyway. And you know what? I'm really glad that I did!Cat O'Nine really did write some fantastic details in this book. This is still a good versus evil plot, but it is also so much more than that. This book is filled to the brim with darkness and it is done in such a beautiful way. There was more than "meets the eye" to these characters, and for a change the angels were more deep than I've ever read angels to be. They had layers.
Anyone who reads my reviews knows that I'm big on vocabulary, and I was very excited to find a few words in this book that I was unfamiliar with. The book was well written and quite descriptive; I enjoyed the movie that plaid on the screen of my mind as I read. There is also one character who I just fell in love with and couldn't help but to have a little giggle when I encountered him and couldn't stop myself from smiling at the cleverness of Cat O'Nine for his creation. You'll know who I'm talking about once you read the book, and you really should.

Devil in the Details Book of Lucifer 1 edition by Cat O'Nine Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
As a rule, I do not write book reviews unless I'm doing it professionally. This is my first one on . It is not going to talk about the plot of the book. I'll leave that to the other reviewers. I am going to talk about how #amazeballs this book and the rest of the Trilogy is for a new and unknown writer. You'll be glad you were an early adopter and can say, "I read her before she was a bestseller!"
Having said that, let me also tell you that the writer is a friend of mine. How did we become friends? This book.
In late 2012, Cat followed my Twitter handle @ShitZombiesSay and DM'd me a link to the first iteration of this book. I needed a new read for the weekend and I took the bait. I read it non-stop despite some copy-editing errors in the first 10 pages that would normally have stopped me from going further. The story telling was THAT GOOD. (*Those errors I mentioned have been corrected)
I'm a professional writer, copy editor, and omnivorous reader. I can't remember the last time the word-craft of a new author jolted me. I was so stunned by the brilliant command of language and story telling I DM'd her back on Twitter and told her I wanted to talk to her on the phone and offer some constructive editorial criticism and commentary. I also wanted to encourage her wholeheartedly to KEEP 'em coming!
This woman is one of the smartest tale-teller's I've read in a long time. She's not only smart, but she is a natural at writing. That is phenomenally rare. This is amazing work for someone right out of the gate. With each book she's honing her skills. Expect big works to come from Cat. Follow her on Twitter @Cat_ONine
Oddly enuf I cannot improve on the words of the other reviewers. Every point I want to make, every kudo I want to say has been said in the other reviews of this Outstanding book. I tried to find a flaw. Other than some proofing errors, the story had no flaws. For what the other reviewers said, I can only agree and I can only summarize them. By the way, there are not too many books that get 38 of 40 stars; [add 5 of 5 more from me 43 0f 45]... as of mid July2013 it is 48 of 50 stars!!
"Brilliant!" "Steamy as hell." "Great Story!" "Excellent read!" "Vivid" "... not for the faint of heart!" "... most well-written and original book ... I have read in years." "Characters ... well developed ... totally draw you into their world." "... excellent flow." [Cat has] " ... a rare ability ...." "[She] understands how to write." "The story mixes horror that actually was scary and erotica that was actually sexy." "...fantastic details in this book." "...the angels were more deep than I've ever read angels to be. They had layers."
Paranormal, supernatural, the dark edges of our dreams is my genre. I favor female writers because of the pure heat that they bring to the erotic and unbridled sex in their stories. But where some of these writers get a bit boring in their repeated pages of sex, Cat never "repeats". Each occurrence is unique, each occurrence is arousing, and as one reviewer stated (paraphrased) is damn hard to read her book with two hands. Think about it.
This is one of those books that you just can't put down, once you've started it.
I pride myself in being ahead of the game, and constantly guessing the next plot twist, but that is pretty impossible with this book. Nothing that happens is expected. In addition, the author has developed characters that you want to love, despite the fact that they are the bad guy. The only suggestion I have for the potential buyer is that you don't leave this book on the coffee stand. Trust me when I tell you, this is NOT a coffee table book. The subject matter is pretty taboo, which adds so much to the appeal! However, should you possess an open mind, and a literary sense of adventure, this book is just right for you!
This book is not for the faint of heart! With that said, this the most well-written and original book dealing with the supernatural that I have read in years. While it does concern the mortal pawns in the ultimate battle between good and evil, the plot is unique and different from anything else I've read. The characters are well developed and will totally draw you into their world. The story line has an excellent flow. Unlike some others, this author has a way with descriptiveness that is very vivid, without being repetitive, overly wordy, or grandiose. That is a rare ability, in my opinion.
"Devil In The Details (Book Of Lucifer)" hooked me from the first page. I honestly could not put it down, although at times I wanted to, because it is disturbing - as a great book of this genre should be! It definitely left me wanting more and I am eagerly awaiting Book II!
This book does contain mature subject matter, so it is not appropriate for underage readers. With that one caveat, I would highly recommend "Devil In The Details (Book Of Lucifer)" to anyone who enjoys a thrillingly dark supernatural read!
